According to leaked documents obtained by GigaOm Facebook is set to release premium ads product on Feb 29th, Facebook is organizing Facebook Marketing Conference on Feb 29th in New York. Facebook is pitching that the new ads perform 40 to 80 percent better than their classic premium ads.

Twitter for iPhone and Android Apps get Updates

Twitter updated their mobile apps for iPhone and Android, these updates bring some new features. The updates to iPhone are more obvious and Android users are not that lucky they didn’t get all updates that are added to iPhone.

Swipe feature is back on both the mobile apps iPhone and Android. Swiping on any tweet brings the menu on top of the tweet which enables users to reply, retweet, favorite, view profiles with out leaving their own timelines.

Flickr is Getting a Facelift

Flickr is getting a facelift on February 28th, the changes include larger photos, less white space, a revamped uploading interface with drag and drop functionality.

Flickr, once popular destination for photo sharing lost its charm in recent times, thanks to competition from Facebook, Picasa, Google+ and others. Flickr is the popular photo sharing site before Yahoo acquired it in 2005, after the acquisition Yahoo mostly ignored the site with out any major changes.

LG announces Optimus L3, L5, and L7: L-style Android phones

LG announced today it’s newest range of L-style android phones, Optimus L3, Optimus L5 and Optimus L7. These devices will be unveiled at MWC later this month. Two of the devices out of three L5 and L7 will have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich loaded. While the third one Optimus L3 will come with Android Gingerbread.

ZTE Mimosa X announced powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 and Icera modem

ZTE announced a new mid range phone called Mimosa X running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The smartphone uses NVIDIA’a Tegra 2 application processor and it’s Icera modem technology. NVIDIA till now used other manufacturers connectivity solutions to power it’s processors, this is the first time NVIDIA is powering a Tegra processor along with the Icera Modem. Icera modem came to NVIDIA through its acquisition of Icera in 2011.

Google says passwords are not a very good form of authentication and one way to solve this problem is through browser sign in and OpenID, but convincing sites to implement OpenID will take a while, so it may came up with the idea of password generator for Chrome.
